40 Days of Prayer

February 19 - March 29

Each day will include a passage of scripture to read and a simple prayer prompt.
Our desire is that we may be a church that prays together as we seek unity as God desires.
February 19 - Day 1

Prayer:  To recognize our opportunities to love as Jesus has loved us, and then put it into action.
February 20 - Day 2
Proverbs 3:5-6
Prayer:  To seek God’s direction and trust where He leads, even if you do not see every step.
February 21 - Day 3
1 Corinthians 13:1-7
Prayer:  To understand the importance and behaviors of love and how to live it out.
February 22 - Day 4
Romans 8:26-28
Prayer: Trust that, in all circumstances, God is able to use it for good.
February 23 - Day 5
Matthew 6:25-34
Prayer: To not allow worry to keep you from taking action to trust and obey God.

Prayer: That we would see each other as important members of the Body of Christ, yourself included.
February 25 - Day 7

Prayer: That we would be mindful of the needs of others as Jesus has been for us.

Prayer: Ask God to help us love each other so that His love may be made complete in us.
February 27 - Day 9

Prayer: That we would have hearts to serve others as if we were serving Jesus.

Prayer: For God to give us understanding of how to live in harmony and be people of peace.

Prayer:  That we would be brought to a place of complete unity in Jesus.
March 1 - Day 12

Prayer: That Christians would take courage and step into the mission of God.

Prayer: For our youth to grow up living in the ways of Jesus - and to not turn from it.

Prayer: That we may love as Jesus loved and be called His friends for it.

Prayer: Pray for God to restore what should be as we seek Him fully.

Prayer: That we would be people that recognize and appreciate equality and unity.
March 6 - Day 17

Prayer: For hearts that seek to resolve conflict and the humble willingness to give prompt apologies.
March 7 - Day 18
Psalm 51:10-17 
Prayer: Ask the Lord to examine your heart and show you areas that are not pleasing to Him.
March 8 - Day 19

Prayer: Pray that our church (and all Christians) will repent of our sins and humbly seek and obey God.
March 9 - Day 20

Prayer: That our church (and all Christians) will seek to gather, share & live out the mission of the Church.

Prayer: For consideration of others and that we may respond to others in ways that honor God.

Prayer: Pray for those currently suffering for the sake of the Gospel.

Prayer: That we will be like-minded in all we do and work together, united in purpose.

Prayer: For the spiritual maturity of current and future generations.
March 14 - Day 25

Prayer: Pray about our striving together for the advancement of the Gospel.

Prayer: That we will be about the proclaiming of Christ, even if it costs us in the present.

Prayer: Pray that we will be encouragers, on mission, who will not compromise on gathering together.

Prayer: For those who are in places of leadership within the church.

Prayer: Pray for those in leadership to seek God’s direction and be obedient to it.

Prayer: For those in leadership, especially those in our government.

Prayer: That those in leadership would do so with servant hearts.

Prayer: That our leaders would seek out and surround themselves with wise counsel.

Prayer: For our church family to have perseverence in continuing to do good.

Prayer: Pray that we, as a church, would conduct ourselves in a holy manner.

Ephesians 4:1-6
Prayer: That we would strive to live in unity of the Spirit as a church.
March 25 - Day 36

Prayer: That we will emulate the humility that Jesus has demonstrated for us.
March 26- Day 37
John 14:1-7
Prayer: For all people to recognize that Jesus is the only way to salvation.
March 27 - Day 38
John 15:1-8
Prayer: For greater understanding of Jesus as the vine and how God prunes so as to bear more fruit.
March 28 - Day 39
John 16:33
Prayer: For peace in this lifetime, through what we may face, believing that Jesus has overcome it all!
March 29 - Day 40
John 19:28-30
Prayer: That we recognize the sacrifice Jesus made for the forgiveness of sin, and that our lives would be lived as a grateful response to it.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
